The last scheduled outing at Lincoln fell victim to the freezing weather so everyone will be hoping for better luck this time as the team seek to maintain their winning run.
Martin Carruthers said:
"Given the run we have been on it was disappointing that the Lincoln game was called off. We did offer them the option to play the game 24 hours later but it did come off. At least we finish the year on an unbeaten note.
The games are coming thick and fast during the next month. As well as some difficult looking league games, we have a Notts Senior Cup quarter final against Kimberley MW and a league cup tie at Matlock Town to look forward to. We can’t afford to take our foot off the gas.
Chasetown are a strong side, with some good players in important positions and are the only team to have beaten us at home this season so we know that we can expect a real challenge."
The squad is the same as that named for the Lincoln game: Deeney, McNicholas, Walker, F Smith, Carr, Meikle, Bertram, Grantham, Howell, Wells, C Smith, Dixon, Shannon-Lewis, Hutchinson, Asiedu-Boateng, J Duffy, Jake Wood, Tabreham, Lubban.
When the teams met at Greenwich Avenue in August Chasetown won 2-1. Nathan Rooney gave the visitors the lead with a 14th minute penalty and Mitchell Piggon doubled the lead just after the hour, Greg Simmonds pulling one back in added time at the end.
