Basford will resume preseason training on Sat 23rd June at a time TBC and then will follow with Tues/Thursday sessions commencing at 7pm at the ground.The club have already been very active in the transfer market and look poised to add 2 or 3 top quality signings to bolster what already was a very good squad. Delighted to report United look to have fought off the advances of all the top clubs in the area to land a prized addition to be unveiled.
In terms of friendlies still a few to finalise but so far confirmed

14th July Long Eaton at Greenwich Avenue 3pm
21st July Shepshed at Greenwich Avenue 3pm
28th July away trip to Blackpool to play a North west outfit followed by a Sat night stay over in Blackpool.
31st July not yet confirmed but home possibly Grantham or Rainworth
4th Aug Home to Newark Town.

Other games still to be confirmed and given dates, Bilborough Pelican and South Normanton.

Greenwich Avenue main track looks immaculate and given the rain of the recent month is almost ready for action now.

In terms of ground developments both current stands are in the process of being reseated to acheive the 100 covered seats for Step G/F. Additionally the club expect to have up the 3rd standing only stand behind the top goal the plan for this one is for it too easily house up to 200 standing spectators. Hopefully up and ready in time for start of the league campaign.
Planning has gone in for new spectator toilets as well as a supporters hospitality area inside of the main 1st team pitch.
Whilst the club are moving forward in the feasibility stage of the new changing,club house and main two tier stand, the club will press on over the summer to upgrade the exisiting pavillion. Plans are being drafted up to move the main home and away changing rooms downstairs and turn upstairs into the long sought after clubhouse.The club views it will not take a major expense to do this work so expect to commence it over the next two weeks.
