Speaking to Basford TV, Towle revealed his reasons for signing with Basford: “Basford is a couple of leagues above Long Eaton and after the success, I wanted a step up. Basford is that step with the facilities being great and the club’s ambition for promotion, I knew I wanted to be part of it.”
“When I was at Nottingham Forest, I knew Steve Chettle,” said Towle, “obviously I’m a Nottingham lad, I know all about Basford and what has been going on over the last few years hasn’t escaped me: big club, great facilities, good fan base excited to get started.”
The 19-year-old striker thinks the new additions of some younger players into the squad is going to help Basford next season.
“With the youth, we’ve got legs, we’ve got energy and mix that with the experience we have in the squad at this level we’ve got a good side.”
Towle also didn’t shy away from big ambitions expected of him and his teammates in the 2020/21 season.
“With where the club was this season, the only thing is to improve; the club, gaffer, and chairman, we all want to get promotion. As a team, that’s what we want.
“Personally, I have got to give one hundred percent every game and carry on from last season and score goals. That would be great.”
