Here is everything you need to know...

United make the trip to the Skuna Stadium on Saturday to take on Atherton Collieries as they look for their first win of their Northern Premier League season.

LAST TIME OUT:
Matlock Town were the hosts on Tuesday night and ran away 2-1 winners despite a late Rev James strike for Basford, as an early brace from Ross Hannah gave Town a first win of the season after their defeat at Ashton United last Saturday.

Stef Galinksi may have brought his side back into the game earlier than James’ 85th minute effort when he headed Ryan Wilson’s free-kick on to the post in the first half.

Collieries welcomed Nantwich Town to Greater Manchester and went down 2-0, failing to build on their opening day win against Hyde United.

Sean Cooke’s penalty just before the half hour set Nantwich well on their way and he later added a second against Atherton who had Ben Conway dismissed moments earlier.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS:
United and Atherton have only met twice in the Northern Premier League which followed on from Colls’ promotion from the Division One, West in 2019.

Goals from Matt Thornhill and Nat Watson completed a come-from-behind victory at Greenwich Avenue early last year after Cain Noble’s wind-assisted strike had put the visitors in front.

Watson was again on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture a few months prior in a 3-1 win. James Reid and Kane Richards also found the net that day as a consolation from Jordan Cover deep into injury time was all Collieries could offer.

LAST FIVE:
22/02/20: BAS 2-1 ATH
02/11/19: ATH 1-3 BAS

INJURY NEWS:
United remain without Callum Chettle and Ollie Clark who are still injured.

Matt Thornhill missed United’s defeat at Matlock on Tuesday, and the skipper will remain out for Saturday’s trip.

Striker Kane Richards is still suspended as he serves the final match of his ban.
