We are delighted to confirm that the loan of Luther Munakandafa from Notts County has been extended to the end of the season.
The 18-year-old has been at Greenwich Avenue since September after signing his first professional deal with the Magpies in the summer and has already become a firm favourite amongst the United faithful with his exciting threat and direct approach.
He has scored four times in his 20 appearances to date, whilst providing an assist on six occasions, including most recently for Tyreace Palmer’s opener in a 3-1 win over Royston Town on Saturday.
On the extension, Munakandafa said: “I’m delighted to be extending my stay with Basford and I look forward to continuing my development under Cliffy, Frecks and the rest of the lads.
“They’re a good group and always want to help me learn. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and have weighed in with a few goals and assists here and there and that’s what I want to carry on doing.
“The fans have been great, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know some of them and hopefully now we can push on and make a charge between now and the end of the season.”
Manager Mark Clifford added: “We’re really pleased to have Luther with us for the remainder of the season.
“He is still learning the game and we will support his development alongside Notts County. Luther has been a consistent threat for us and no doubt he will only get better as he plays more games.”
The Club would like to thank Notts manager Luke Williams and CEO Jason Turner for their assistance with Luther’s deal, both throughout and beyond.
