Basford United Ladies are delighted to announce the signings of Izzy Sullivan (pictured) and Maisie Plumb.
Head Coach Jake Hemstock said: “We are so pleased to be bringing Izzy Sullivan to the club - it really shows the direction of where the club wants to go moving forward.
"Izzy has experience at the higher level and even abroad in the USA on a soccer scholarship. When we met Izzy, the coaches and the other players were already saying how positive she has been around the place and that she has shown herself as a great character to have in and around the football club.”
Chairman Sam Winch has also echoed Jake’s comments: “We’re delighted to get Izzy over the line. I previously worked with Izzy many years ago, during my time at Nottingham Forest and recognise what she can bring to the club, both on and off the pitch.
"With a young squad, Izzy brings all the experience needed to develop our youthful squad as well as offering quality in the attacking third of the pitch.
“We are also happy to have signed Maisie Plumb. Maisie is a 16-year-old who has huge potential and has been training with the club in recent months. Both players, I’m sure, are hoping to be in contention for Sunday’s fixture, away to Arnold Eagles.”
