The goal followed good work by Courey Grantham, who fed Hendrie who then turned and lashed a powerful shot high into the roof of the net.
It was a piece of skill at odds with the rest of the game.
Both teams struggled with a gale force wind and the only action of note in the first half was Eugen Bopp and Antony Griffiths Junior shots which were saved by Goole keeper Tom Nicholson.
The pace picked up in the second half, Nicholson saved from Ruben Wiggins-Thomas and Goole’s Bobby Johnson drew a fine save from Saul Deeney, who then touched a wind assisted cross onto the bar.
