Defender Lewis Carr has left the club after seven years.
A fans favourite, Carr joined from Grantham Town back in 2016 and made nearly 300 appearances in United colours over two spells.
During his time, he won promotion to our current level by winning the Northern Premier League, Division One South back in 2018, as well as two Nottinghamshire Senior Cups and a League Cup.
Of Carr's departure, Chairman Rudy Funk said: "Lewis has been a fantastic servant for the club over the last seven years and his record speaks for itself. He has always been exemplary in his approach and is a consummate professional for those to look up to.
"I've seen Lewis play several times over the years and, more recently, have got to know him as a person, and it's been a tough decision to let him go.
"I want to reiterate that it's through no fault of Lewis that he's left. Sometimes in football, circumstances mean that players have to mutually move on and this is the case here.
"On behalf of the club, I'd like to personally thank Lewis for his service and wish him luck in his future endeavours."
We thank Lewis for his fantastic service over the years, and we all wish him and his young family the very best moving forward. They are always welcome at Greenwich Avenue.
