Community host Ruddington Village at Greenwich Avenue on Saturday (3.0). The First Team will be preparing for Monday’s visit of Witton Albion (7.45).

Basford United Community take centre stage on Saturday as the First Team are without a fixture.

Opponents Ruddington are six places and fourteen points behind Community in the Notts Senior League Division One table.

When the teams met earlier in the season Community won a high scoring encounter 6-4.

Witton Albion are the visitors to Greenwich Avenue on Monday for Basford’s first home match in a month and their first match for over two weeks following the postponement of last week’s match at Matlock.

The match is re-arranged from last October due to Witton’s involvement in the FA Cup.

Martin Carruthers commented:
“Witton were one of my favourites to be challenging for promotion and for whatever reason their season has not got going yet. Saying that with their games in hand they can get themselves back into contention and I would say they are one of the dark horses to put in a late challenge.

“They have been a very good side at this level over the past 2-3 seasons and always been a good footballing side. They pose a real threat to us and we will need to be at our very best.

“The Matlock game being called off last week was frustrating and we were full of confidence following on from two wins, but it has been great to put some work in on the training pitch and hopefully we will be raring to go on Monday night.

“It also gives us a chance to watch them at the weekend and see if we can pick up any ideas on how to shut them out".

Supporters of Premier or Football League clubs can take advantage of cut price admission to the Monday night game. Concessionary rates of £6 are available on production of a season or a recent match ticket or programme at the entrance, a saving on normal adult admission of £9.
