Following the abandonment of Mondays FA Youth Cup game, we can confirm that the game will be replayed in full at Corby Town's Steel Park week commencing 23rd.

The incident that led too the abandonment has no place in a football setting, had no connection to either team or anything that took place on the pitch. We as a club can confirm it appeared a premeditated coming together of individuals and group's having no connection with Basford United FC.

Stewards & volunteers of Basford United FC dealt with the incident quickly to maintain the safety of users & viewers of the game and the referee was totally correct to abandon the game.

We are grateful to the FA to listening to our measured views & agreeing to a replayed game.
