Speaking to BUFC Radio after Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw, which saw United extend their unbeaten run to six games, assistant manager Mark Clarke made no mention of his side being the underdogs on Saturday, against Premier Division neighbours Grantham Town, with victory, seemingly the only thing on the Basford #2’s mind, as he said “We’re looking at the game and we’re thinking nothing more than a win, it’s a cup game but it’s a game that we’re very confident we can go ahead and win. It’s never going to be easy, they’ve got some decent players at Grantham, they are going to work hard and they’re not going to want to get turned over by a team in the division below, so we’re expecting a very tough, hard game.”
Kick-off at Greenwich Avenue, for what should be a very entertaining FA Trophy home debut for United, is at 3pm.
Chelsea v Liverpool will also be shown in the newly refurbished Greenwich Avenue clubhouse (12.45pm kick-off) before the main event begins at 3pm.
Admission is just £6 for adults, £4 concessions and £1 for Under-16s.
