After United’s win over Hyde United they have just over 48 hours before they host local rivals Matlock Town. Liam Hearn’s withdrawal from the pitch and his replacement Courey Grantham getting on the score sheet, has left Chettle with a headache.
“Liam has a problem with his groin and Courey has come on today and scored, so that is something we have to look at” said the boss.
“We’ll look at everybody and speak to them over the weekend. And then assess it on Monday and look to pick our team.”
Following his side's 3-2 win over Hyde, Chettle has called on the players to manage games better, especially in the opening minutes.
“We’ve got to manage the game, even in the first three minutes.
“We can’t always look to play the stunning football we want to play.”
But he did admit he was pleased overall.
“We have to take the positives,” said Chettle ”We have three points and we’re off to the start I wanted.
“I’ve told the players that back at the start of the pre-season if you had told me we’d get off to a winning start away at Hyde I’d have snapped your hand off.”
