It will be the first time the club have played a game of football since the Northern Premier Division season was cut short due to the Corona Virus Pandemic.
And first team boss Steve Chettle is looking forward to being back in the dugout.
He said: “It’ll be nice to get back on the pitch and have some structure and work towards something.
“We’ll have a lot of bodies and will go out with two teams, we need to work the lads into the system. Each team will get 45 minutes each and they need to get their work done in their half.”
For the players, Chettle says pre-season is their opportunity to impress for the start of the new season whenever that may be.
“With the two teams it doesn’t really make a difference who’s in what side. We just need to get the balance and shape of a team," He said. "At the minute everyone needs the same minutes and then they stick themselves in the window for the start of the season. Right now, we’re just gearing for the start of a new season.”
Sticking with the Government and FA guidelines all of the pre-season fixtures will be played behind closed doors. However, the club will be providing live text updates on Twitter and live radio commentary via Mixlr.
