In the 24 team Premier Division Basford will be joined by other league newcomers Garforth Town and Hucknall Town, both of whom were relegated from the Evostick League, Garforth from Division One North, Hucknall from Division One South. Albion Sports and Athersley Recreation have been promoted to the Premier Division from NCEL Division One.

It will be the the first time since the late 1980s that Basford and Hucknall meet in league action and that will stir the memories of those who can recall some of the classic encounters of the past.

The draw for the early rounds of the League Cup also took place. Premier Division teams enter the competition in the second round, where Basford have been given a difficult looking home tie against last season's league runners up Brighouse Town. The match will be a night game on a date to be announced.
