Nathan has been in the Evo-Stik team of the year for two out of the last three seasons and is regarded by many as technically one of the best players in the Premier Division, so a massive coup for Basford United.

Last season Watson scored 33 goals for Coalville in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division, including countless assists & will add to the clubs potent offensive options.

Basford 1st team manager Martin Carruthers said: 'I am delighted with the signing of Nat...the club have shown a huge statement of intent with this signing. The club have worked tirelessly to get this deal over the line, none more so than Tom Brookbanks who was a key figure in making this happen.'

Martin went on to say 'I am really happy with my four signings that include Liam Bateman, Ellis Storey & Kieran Preston as well as now Nat and I feel with an exceptional group from last season the squad is looking really strong ahead of this season.’

Basford Chairman Chris Munroe was also pleased by the new arrival stating: ‘I am delighted we have secured the signing of Nat Watson. It took a while to get this over the line but we are relieved it is finally done and well done to all involved in securing another brilliant singing.’
