A fine victory for the CFC young 1st team in the 12pm ko on the 3G yesterday. against title contenders Awsworth Villa. Basford United 1st teamer Jamie Walker registered a fine game as he was given a 90 minutes, & netted a pair of goals including a spectacular effort in the 1st period, his other goal of the half was a header from a corner. With Awsworth netting on the stroke of HT to make it 2-1 via a great strike off the inside of the far upright this set up a great 2nd half . CFC netted a 3rd from Ewan Sweeting before once again Awsworth got it back to 3-2 finishing at the back post. The visitors will rue too big misses not converted at 2-1 and 3-2. CFC put the game to bed as Zaire Birchall-Jackson netted a fine strike across the Awsworth keeper. Then the goal of the game saw Jack Duffy smash a beauty home for 5-2.
All in all a pleasing performance under the watchful eye of Basford Utd 1st teamers arriving for there game who could not fail to be impressed by the young CFC team.
