Basford Aim To Bounce Back At Home To Sheffield FC On Tuesday

United will be looking to return Greenwich Avenue to fortress status, as the oldest club in the world arrive in Basford on Tuesday night (7.45pm KO).

With only one league win at Greenwich Avenue so far this season, United manager Martin Carruthers will be hoping his side can revert to the home form that won them the Midland Football League last season and convert the good football his side have been playing into results.

Sheffield FC are the visitors on Tuesday night and just one point separates the two sides in the Evo-Stik League Division One South standings, as they both sit amongst a plethora of teams in the mid-table area, with everyone in that mix knowing a good run of results would lift them right into the promotion and play-off region.

Martin Carruthers should be able to select his starting eleven from the same squad that faced Sporting Khalsa in the FA Cup on Saturday, with the addition of the cup-tied Rhys Myers.

Team to face Sheffield FC from:
Saul Deeney
David Boafo
Deon Meikle
Jermaine Hollis
Rob Darkin
Rob McCormick
Ben Hutchinson
Ashley Grayson
Reuben Wiggins-Thomas
Blair Anderson
Cory Grantham
Tyrell Shannon-Lewis
Jake Wood
Kimani Smith
Jahrel Brown
Dan Fletcher
Ryan Oates
Josh Thornton
Gino Kelleher
Rhys Myers
Jack Wood
Jacub Tabreham

Ticket prices for what will be the last of five consecutive home games for Basford, remain some of the cheapest in the division, with adults gaining entry for just £6, £4 concessions and £1 for Under-16s.

Make sure you’re at the Avenue to be part of the twelfth man, which could cheer the boys to victory.

Selected live Champions League games will also be showing in United’s newly clubhouse that evening, with great value bar prices available.
