Picking up several injuries and only having two subs it was a real battle to see this one out and claim three welcome points that cannot be underestimated against a Real team that have shown great improvement in recent weeks.

In the first period United produced some scintillating football by far our best in a long time and new signings Cashel Walters and Carl Westcarr made an immediate impact.

Westcarr brought the best out of strike partner Courtney Hastings today and Hastings bagged a goal and set up the rejuvanated Ryan Johnson to finish for 2-0. Ryan & Cashel gave us great impetus from the flanks and with a lot of service they both were a constant menace for Real.

Real gained a lifeline late 1st period as a freak cross shot flew into the top corner. Despite losing Joe Richardson and Ryan Johnson to injury early second period and Ty Gray carrying a knock United battled manfully to win the game.

Defensively a superb display with Ben Moore superb alongside Ty Gray and both fullbacks Richard and Ben excellent. Special mention to Josh Niblett and Tian Walton a great effort in the engine room and Josh even showed his versatility when slotting in as an emergency left back after the injury to Joe, Tian installed as captain worked his socks off.

Also a major boost as Martin Holt came through 35 minutes unscathed after a long period out and Reggie Royes also did well when coming into the game.
