We have agreed a deal to sign exciting forward Leojo Davidson and he will become our eighth summer signing when his contract at Championship newcomers Sheffield Wednesday expires on June 30.

The 19-year-old came through the ranks at Manchester City – where he was reported to be on the radar of several Bundesliga clubs – before moving to Hillsborough in 2020, initially with their U18s before stepping up to U21 level just a year later when he signed a professional contract.

He has also featured for England at youth level.

Davidson made his senior debut for the Owls in the EFL Trophy against Bradford City only a year ago and featured against Leicester City U21 in the same competition two months later.

During his three years with the club, he was a regular goal scorer and was notably nominated for a goal of the month award following a fine solo effort against Queens Park Rangers U18s back in 2021.
