On Saturday, owner Chris Munroe confirmed that manager Martin Carruthers and assistant Saul Deeney will remain at Basford United Football Club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, having signed new deals.

With the club entering the play-offs and also preparing for a Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final, aiming to lift the trophy for the first time in seven years at the home of Mansfield Town FC, the news provides a major boost both on and off the pitch.

A huge night awaits under the lights, make sure you’re there to back the lads and show your support.
