Witton Albion vs Basford United, 03/10/2020, Kick-off 3:00pm

Here is everything you need to know about our fourth straight away game.

Last time out

We took a point in a competitive 2-2 draw with Matlock Town. We lead through Kane Richards’ deflected effort before Matlock pulled a goal back through Reece Kendall. Skipper Matt Thornhill then gave us a second half lead as he stabbed home but we had to settle for a share of the points as Liam Hughes headed home.

Witton were beaten 2-1 away to Mickleover. George Miller gave Mickleover the lead at the break and late on they doubled their advantage through Andrew Wright. In the final moments of the game Witton did pull one back through Billy Smart but they could not find an even later equaliser.

Last Season

We met Witton Albion just once last season, with the season ending before they were due to host us. In our meeting at Greenwich Avenue, Kane Richards scored the only goal of the game on 62 minutes as we took a narrow win.
