Our FA Cup campaign kicks off with a visit to Chasetown tomorrow night. Here we take a quick look at the game

Last time out:

We started the season with a loss as we were beaten 2-0 by Warrington Town. Jack Dunn’s strike and a Bohan Dixon penalty left us with too much to do in the second half despite a dominant display.

Like us, Chasetown started off their season with a defeat as they lost 3-2 to Frickley Athletic. Liam Kirton and Joey Butlin put them into a 2-0 lead before Kern Miller halved the gap at the break. Nathen Jarman then struck six-minutes into the second half as Frickley found themselves level and with just minutes left on the clock they went into the lead as Jonathon Margetts fired in from the spot to give his side all three points.

Last Seasons FA Cup:

We exited the FA Cup in the first qualifying round with a 2-1 loss to Matlock Town. Spencer Harris converted a second minute penalty as Town raced into an early lead before Jordan Sinnott fired in a second. Liam Hearn, who has since left the club, pulled a goal back from the spot for us with 11 minutes left on the clock, but it was too late for us to mount a comeback.

Chasetown were knocked out in the second qualifying round after a replay against Leamington that went into extra time, with them eventually going down 2-1. Will Whieldon had given Chasetown the lead in the 42nd minute, which they held until the dying moments when Kyle Anderson scored. In extra time Connor Taylor struck with just three minutes on the clock to sending Leamington through.
