Basford United vs Stafford Rangers, 20/10/2020, kick-off 7:45

Last time out

We made it back to back wins for the first time this season with a 2-1 win over Bamber Bridge. Goals from Matt Thornhill and Rev James had put us ahead at the break. And despite Danny Forbes pulling a goal back for our visitors we held on for all three points.

Stafford were also involved in a 2-1 score line as they were beaten away to FC United of Manchester. They took the lead through Muhammad Sebbeh-Njie before Daniel Cockerline made it 1-1 at the break. Then with just 19 minutes left Michael Fowler struck what was the winner for the hosts.

Last season

We took four points from our visitors last season. We took a 0-0 draw away to Stafford back in September 2019 before winning the reverse fixture 3-1 at Greenwich Avenue. On that day Kane Richards gave us a 1-0 lead that lasted just two minutes as Bradley Grayson equalised. We then scored twice without reply to earn the win.
